I grew up in a small town close to Wichita with Real Estate Investor/Landlord Parents, I always enjoyed seeing the transformation of each property and was always amazed how each house was so different, just like us humans! Each with their own characteristics.
I worked at Boeing and Boeing Military for over 20 years in various positions throughout the campus. I was laid off a total of 4 times, on the 3rd layoff I became a 40 year old college student at Cowley County Community College studying Non Destructive Testing. During Christmas break, I bought a book to enjoy called Buy it, Fix it, Sell it, Profit. I thought I could rehab houses in the morning and go to school in the afternoon. I found a HUD home to buy but I had trouble finding a realtor who could put in a bid for me like the book talked about, when I did she kept having trouble with placing the bid, I did finally win the bid but it made me want to learn more about the internal dynamics that happen in real estate, what happens prior to the closing table, how do you get there, the behind the scenes fun. I bought that home for $18k with $21,5 repair cost and sold it for $68,300 and I've never looked back.
I quit school to pursue every aspect of Real Estate and received my Real Estate License on March 28, 2003.
I have a passion for renovating homes, selling homes, buying homes, finding homes. I truly love every aspect of Real Estate.
