The Honesty and Kindness of 4 Strangers Changed Mabel Price’s Life
Mabel Price got into real estate 15 years ago for a couple of reasons. First, the job flexibility let her spend time with her daughters rather than put them in daycare. Second, her husband is in construction and his family was looking for home investments.
Over the years, Mabel owned and managed a franchise with another well-known realty firm. And she became disenfranchised with that firm. She was feeling restricted by the lack of creative freedom, strict corporate guidelines, and a 50/50 commission split were stifling her professional and personal growth.
Like so many other real estate agents who know that if something seems too good to be true, then it probably is, Mabel initially doubted what she’d heard about Platinum Realty. Rather than let the fear of change stop her from moving forward, she contacted four Platinum Realty agents. Not friends. Not acquaintances. Total strangers who had nothing to lose by telling her the truth about working with Platinum Realty.
Mabel recalls, “I reached out to Platinum Realty. Four agents answered all of my questions. Their answers were very similar to one another’s. The common thread was that they liked the way things were run here. They didn’t feel bogged down by red tape. They enjoyed working with a realty company that was agent friendly. And they believed Platinum Realty was progressive. Joining the St. Louis team was the best move I could have ever made.”
Making the switch wasn’t without a few surprises. Pleasant ones though like how quick to help other agents were, the positivity that comes from satisfied agents, and how user friendly all of the Platinum systems were. It all added up for an easy transition.
Shortly after Mabel made the move, she was tapped for a team leader position. She jumped at the chance because according to her, “I’m surrounded by independent, self-confident agents who take pride in doing a job well. They too were tired of paying high membership fees, commission splits and working hard, but making less than they could or should.”
Mabel sums it up, “Fear of the unknown keeps people from making changes. Platinum Realty is growing fast in St. Louis because there is so much offered here. It’s not too good to be true. You can make more money without killing yourself. We have a positive and dynamic team."
