Changing Domain Name Servers (DNS)

If you did not purchase your domain name through iHOUSE and would like for us to host your website on a domain that you already own, you will need to place our Name Servers onto your domain's DNS record.

This will need to be done with the domain registrar (most often the company you have purchased the domain from). Contact the domain registrar or log into your domain management page and set the following as your domain name servers:

Primary Name Server: NS.CISDATA.COM

Secondary Name Server: NS.CISDATA.NET

The following are optional name servers. If your registrar allows for more than two name servers then we recommend adding the following name servers in addition to the ones above.

Third Name Server: NS2.CISDATA.COM

Fourth Name Server: NS2.CISDATA.NET

NOTE: Changing the domain name servers will transfer all domain related services to our hosting. These changes can take between 24-48 hours to take effect, during which time domain related services may not be active.

If your registrar is not in the list above you will need to contact them directly for more help making this change. Also, often times our customer support department can make these changes for you if you provide them with your domain management log in information (Login ID and password). We will need for you to export your current contact list and send to us as a .csv file.

If you prefer, you can send and and excel file and we can conver here.

There needs to be four fields in the file you send us that includes; first name, last name, phone and email.

If any of the fields are blank, we will not be able to upload the file.  Should a field be blank, you can simply type in default content such as "blank" for the names, no@email.com for email or 803-555-5555 for phone.

Then email the list in to support@ihouseweb.com and include your account number for your website so we can upload the contacts on your behalf
